Corpi Celesti

 

 

Sono pietre formate da gesso e liquido fotosensibile derivante dalla tecnica di stampa della cianotipia, unite nel buio della camera oscura e successivamente esposte alla luce solare. La parte esterna dei Corpi Celesti si solidifica per prima quando viene portata all'aria aperta diventando una sorta di guscio che nasconde al proprio interno una struttura che attende di essere rivelata. Queste sculture sono corpi fotosensibili orientati verso l'alto e seguono il ritmo del cielo, della luce e degli agenti atmosferici che ne alterano il colore in maniera incontrollabile nel tempo. Opere in continuo cambiamento che invitano ad accogliere l'imprevedibilità del mondo circostante e riflettono l'incapacità dell'essere umano di governare gli eventi che in maniera inaspettata e indefinita ne condizionano la vita.

 

 

These stones are made with chalk and photosensitive emulsion resulting from the cyanotype printing technique. They are merged inside the darkroom and then exposed to sunlight. The external part of "Corpi Celesti" hardens first when it's brought into the open air, then becomes a kind of shell that hides a structure waiting to be revealed. These sculptures are photosensitive bodies oriented upwards and they follow the rhythm of the sky, light, and weather that alter their color in an unmanageable way over time. Works in continuous change that invites us to welcome the randomness of the surrounding world and reflects the inability of the human being to control the events that unexpectedly and indefinitely affect his life.
