Rivolgersi al cielo

The title has different meanings such as look up towards the sky or call upon God.

The canvas is painted with a photosensitive emulsion historically used for cyanotype printing techniques. This material loses its original purpose and is used for its potential to react to light and atmospheric changes such as rain, snow, air humidity. Then the canvas is exposed outdoor, facing the sky for different periods, undergoing a transformation that alters its color over time in an unpredictable way.

This process reflects the inability to control the human condition that is always exposed to the unexpected, the uncertain, the indefinite.
